Two New Life members
We're pleased to announce that Derek Matthews and Mike Suckling have been awarded Life Membership for Ware SC. Both Derek and Mike have done a huge amount for the club over many years and we're delighted to be able to recognise and acknowledge their contribution.
Ware vs Wulfrath Challenge
As you know, we held a virtual challenge between Ware SC and TB Wulfrath. The objective was for each club to exercise their way to the opposition’s town, a distance of 623km. As both clubs reached their destination on what would have been the gala day, it was agreed that they would aim to return home by 6pm on the Friday. Over 70 members of the club took part with notable contributions from Thomas Currie (60km bike ride), Harry Earl and Bella Howard as well as strong family contributions from the Sinclair’s (Carla, Nick, Toby) and the Jones family (Aidan, Ben and Darren). It was a very close race with victory going to Wulfrath by just 51km.
