Following their success at the 2022 County Championships, Ware SC returned to The Venue for Round 1 of the Major League. The team had a magical start with personal bests in the first 7 individual events, including victory for Charles Sinclair in the Open Boys 100m IM (1.07.13). Sinclair continued his winning form with a second victory in the Open Boys 100m Breaststroke.
The boys continued to dominate with outstanding performances and victories from Archie Rann, (U16 100m Butterfly), Atikan To (U16 100m Freestyle and 100m Breaststroke), Billy Cyl (U14 100m Breaststroke). Other Personal Bests came from Alfie Adams, Samuel Brand, Jack Carpenter, Charlie Cox and Billy Cyl.
The girls team had an impressive gala too with a string of Personal Bests including Hannah Wood (Open 100m IM and 100m Butterfly), Jessica Hutchins (U12 50m Backstroke and 25m Butterfly), Amy Liddiard (U14 100m Breaststroke), Martha Currie (U16 100m Butterfly and 100m Freestyle), Macy Cyl (U12 50m Butterfly), Alice Field (U16 100m Breaststroke) and Ellie Keeling (U14 100m Freestyle).
In a closely fought gala, Ware SC battled hard to secure second place, a fantastic result and brilliant start for 2022.
