Ware SC – Stars of the future at the Development Meet

Ware SC recently competed in the Stevenage Development Meet. Always a firm favourite with our swimmers, the team were on top form winning a fantastic haul of medals with lots of personal bests along the way.


Notable performances and Gold Medal winners were:

· Olivia Gibbins – 14yr 50m Butterfly

· Sophie Tom – 10yr 100m Backstroke

· Samuel Brand – 12yr 100m Breaststroke

· George Reeves – 13yr 100m Backstroke


The performance of the day went to Freya Keeling who won 4 Gold medals in the 9 year old age group in the 50m Backstroke, Breaststroke, Freestyle and the 100m IM. Her older sister, Ellie, also had an excellent meet, taking Silver Medals in the 13yr 50m Butterfly, 100m IM and 100m Freestyle.


Other Silver medallists were:

· Samuel Brand - 12yr 100m Backstroke

· Emily Clarke – 14yr old 100m Breaststroke.

· Olivia Gibbins - 14yr 50m and 100m Freestyle

· William Neal – 14yr 100m Backstroke


Bronze medals were awarded to:

· Gemma Adams-Rothwell – 14yr 100m Breaststroke

· Joanne Berry – 13yr 100m Breaststroke

· Samuel Brand – 12yr 100m IM

· Harry Earl – 11yr 100m Backstroke

· Olivia Gibbins – 14yr 50m Backstroke

· William Neal – 14yr 50m Butterfly and 100m Freestyle

· Sophie Tom – 10yr 50m Breaststroke and 100m Freestyle


Every swimmer who competed achieved at least one Personal Best and these included:
